Telmisartan is a medication used primarily to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It belongs to a class of drugs known as angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). Telmisartan works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more smoothly and thereby lowering blood pressure.
